Meet Alice, our Founder
By choosing The Courtyard Bakery, I bring a wealth of food industry experience to the table. With three years as a Confectionery Assistant at Bettys, I honed my skills in creating handcrafted chocolates and traditional confectionery while prioritising exceptional quality and customer service. My experience as a Pastry Chef in luxury hotels, including Rudding Park, has equipped me to create refined pastries, plated desserts, and artisan baked goods in an upscale environment. I have collaborated with chefs to develop menus for weddings, afternoon teas, and high-profile events, while effectively managing service during large banquets and à la carte.
In addition to my practical experience, I hold a Level 3 Patisserie qualification from University College of Food, Birmingham, where I mastered advanced techniques in cake decoration, confectionery, sugar flowers, and breadmaking. I also possess a Level 3 Food Safety Certificate, ensuring my training in advanced food hygiene, storage, and kitchen safety practices. My strong commitment to food hygiene and ability to excel during peak periods make me the ideal choice for your culinary needs.
